Integrating the Patient Voice: A New Partnership for 2025-2026
Partnership with Patients for Patient Safety Canada
At the Chiropractic Association of Alberta, patient safety isn’t just a priority - it’s the foundation of everything we do. Listening to patients and integrating their voices into our work strengthens our profession and ensures care remains patient-centred.
We are proud to enhance this commitment through a new partnership with Patients for Patient Safety Canada (PFPSC). PFPSC is the collective voice of patients and families who have experienced preventable healthcare harm. As Canada’s only patient-led organization solely dedicated to patient safety - and the Canadian arm of the World Health Organization’s Patients for Patient Safety Global Network - they are internationally recognized as a leader in patient safety advocacy.
Why This Collaboration Matters
Every patient deserves care that is safe, effective and free from preventable harm. Yet patient safety incidents continue to occur at an alarming rate, affecting not just patients and families but also healthcare providers.
This partnership with PFPSC strengthens our proactive approach to patient safety. By embedding the patient voice into our initiatives, we are deepening our commitment to collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement. Together, we can enhance trust in chiropractic care and ensure the highest standard of patient-centred care across Alberta.
A Message from our Board Chair, Dr. Jacqueline Boyd:
“Our partnership with Patients for Patient Safety Canada reflects our commitment to ensuring patient perspectives shape the future of chiropractic care. By bringing the patient voice to the forefront, we are advancing world-class care across Alberta.”
Stay tuned for updates on how this collaboration will help shape the future of chiropractic care in Alberta.
