2015 has been declared the Year of Sport in Canada, promoting Canada’s position as a leading sport nation. Canada’s chiropractic sports specialists will play an important role in the sporting events that will be hosted in Canada next year.

The latest issue of the Journal of the Canadian Chiropractic Association showcases the growing expertise of our chiropractic sports specialists, with 16 scholarly peer-reviewed papers.

The Year of Sport in Canada is a proactive pan-Canadian initiative to celebrate the role that sport plays in our country and encourage Canadians to participate in and seek the benefits of sport. During the year, sport events and other celebratory activities will highlight how sport benefits Canadians.

More than 60 high profile national and international sport events will be hosted in Canada in 2015, including:

  • 2015 World Junior Hockey Championships
  • Canada Winter Games
  • Ford Men’s World Curling Championships
  • FIFA Women’s World Cup
  • Toronto 2015 Pan and Parapan American Games
